Description
Choose how your watering lines connect
Keep one hose connection at the tap, or choose a two-way splitter to leave two watering lines connected.
Both versions use a black plastic bib tap with a large orange dial. Choose the BSP inlet size first, then the outlet arrangement that suits your setup.
One selected tap and outlet arrangement supplied. Hoses and hose-end connectors are separate.

Make two choices in the menus above
The inlet Size and outlet Type describe different parts of the tap.
Size: match the inlet thread
Select 1/2" or 3/4" to match the female BSP fitting receiving the tap. Both are male screw-thread inlets. Do not choose by hose diameter alone.
Type: Quick Connector
A single male garden quick-connect spigot provides one hose connection. Attach a suitable female hose-end connector to clip a hose onto this outlet.
Type: 2-Way Splitter
The tap is paired with a splitter offering two male garden quick-connect outlets. Each branch has a small orange manual valve; both share the same main tap and supply.

A screw thread in, a quick connection out
The inlet is a ½-inch or ¾-inch BSP male thread. It needs a matching female threaded fitting and the sealing arrangement appropriate to that joint.
The single outlet is a male garden quick-connect spigot. It accepts a suitable female hose connector; bare hose does not attach directly to the spigot.
The optional connector in Frequently bought together is for ½-inch hose. Its hose-size marking describes the hose it grips, not the tap's BSP inlet size. Use a different suitable hose connector where your hose requires one.

Keep two lines connected
Use the 2-Way Splitter option when you want two hose connections at the same tap. The two small orange valves let you open or close each branch manually.
The large dial still controls the common supply. Opening both branches shares the available water between them; a splitter does not increase the water your source can deliver.
This can be useful when changing between a hose for hand watering and another suitable watering line. Check the needs of the connected equipment and test delivery with your chosen valve settings.
Fit squarely and support the connection
Check both sides of the installation before turning on the water.
Match and start the thread
Shut off the supply. Check the receiving thread and sealing method, then start the tap squarely by hand. Do not force mismatched threads or tighten the plastic until it distorts.
Connect the hose
Use a female quick connector suited to your hose and the tap outlet. Support the hose run so its weight or a pull on the hose does not strain the tap or mounting.
Test and check
Introduce water gradually and inspect the joints. On the two-way version, check each branch with its valve open and closed. Isolate and drain exposed fittings before freezing conditions.
Choosing the tap and outlet
Does the BSP Size mean the hose size?
No. The Size menu selects the male screw-thread inlet: ½-inch or ¾-inch BSP. The outlet uses a garden quick-connect interface. Choose a female hose-end connector to suit your hose as well as that quick-connect interface; the hose bore and BSP inlet are separate checks.
Can I control the two splitter outlets separately?
Yes. The 2-Way Splitter has a manual valve on each branch. The main tap supplies both, so closing the main dial stops their common supply. Both branches share the available flow; the splitter is not a timer, pressure regulator or second water source.
Are both versions and the hose connectors included?
No. Choose one Size and Type combination. You receive the tap with the selected single quick-connect outlet or two-way outlet arrangement. Hoses and female hose-end connectors are separate; the comparison image shows the choices rather than an included pair.
Is this an automatic watering tap?
No. The orange controls are operated manually. Use them to start or stop water through the tap and, on the splitter option, through each branch. Automatic watering needs a separate suitable control system.

What is BSP?
What is BSP thread size?
BSP (British Standard Pipe) is a nominal pipe-thread size, not a direct measurement of a fitting’s bore or outside diameter. For example, a ½-inch BSP male thread measures about 21mm across its outer thread crests.
These figures are approximate outside diameters of male BSP threads, to help identify the nominal size. They are not inch-to-millimetre unit conversions:
- 3/8" BSP → 16.66 mm
- 1/2" BSP → 20.95 mm
- 3/4" BSP → 26.44 mm
- 1" BSP → 33.25 mm
- 1.25" BSP → 41.91 mm
- 1.5" BSP → 47.80 mm
- 2" BSP → 59.61 mm
- 3" BSP → 87.88 mm
- 4" BSP → 113.03 mm
Measure across the outside of a male thread, then check its pitch and whether it is parallel or tapered. Diameter alone does not confirm compatibility. Check the product’s stated thread specification before connecting.
