A short link beside the tap or a longer run along the border: choose the reach you need with this yellow six-layer garden hose connection set.
Each option pairs flexible, reinforced ½-inch hose with two grey and white female garden quick connectors. The yellow jacket and red stripe make the hose easy to recognise among your watering equipment.
One selected hose length and two connectors supplied. Connect to matching male garden click fittings on your equipment. Tap adapters, reels and watering tools are separate items.
How the six layers work together
The hose starts with a white inner tube, followed by a black anti-algae layer and a flexible yellow PVC layer. Two polyester reinforcement layers sit beneath the yellow outer jacket with its red stripe.
The spiral braid helps resist twisting, while the additional braid supports the hose against bending during handling. The black layer limits light reaching the inside. These features support everyday garden use; they do not make the hose impossible to kink or remove the need to drain and clean your equipment.
The cutaway illustrates the construction rather than the exact scale of each layer. For a smooth route, allow generous bends and keep the hose clear of sharp edges and tension at the connectors.
Plan the route before choosing your length
Measure between the connection points and leave slack for bends and movement.
A nearby tap or reel link
The 1m, 2m, 3m, 4m and 5m options are useful where the connection points sit close together. Check how the hose will bend behind a reel or around a corner so it does not pull tight.
More reach around the garden
Choose 10m, 15m, 30m or 50m for a longer route to borders, containers or outdoor rinsing jobs. Follow the actual route rather than measuring straight across obstacles. Every option still includes two connectors.
Connect and finish with care
Use a matching male quick-connect tap adapter or accessory. Test with the water turned on gently, then check both ends. After use, close the tap, release pressure and drain before disconnecting or putting the hose away from frost.
Before you connect it
Are the connectors included with every length?
Yes. Each kit contains the selected length of yellow ½-inch hose and two grey/white female garden quick connectors. Other items shown with example setups, including reels and watering tools, are separate.
Can it connect directly to a threaded tap?
The supplied female connectors accept a matching male garden quick-connect plug. A bare threaded tap needs a separate tap adapter with the correct thread size and a compatible male outlet.
Is the hose kink-proof?
The six-layer construction includes polyester reinforcement to help resist twisting and bending. It can still kink if sharply bent or pulled tight. Use broad bends, leave slack and coil it loosely for storage.
Can I use it for a drinking-water supply?
This set is offered for garden watering and outdoor rinsing. A food-contact statement about the hose alone does not certify its connectors or the assembled kit as a drinking-water installation. Choose a complete assembly explicitly rated for that purpose.

Large or bulky items may be sent via courier at our discretion and are usually dispatched for next-day delivery. Please note that we only ship to mainland UK addresses; delivery to non-mainland locations, including the Highlands & Islands, may not be available for large or heavy items. If your address falls into one of these areas and you wish to purchase such items, please contact us with your postcode and order details before placing your order. If we cannot ship to you, you are welcome to arrange your own courier for collection.
All products, unless otherwise stated, come with a standard manufacturer warranty against faulty workmanship.
If your product fails within six months of delivery, please contact us with your order reference number, a description of the issue, and clear images illustrating the fault.
Should your item require a return for further investigation, it is your responsibility to arrange and cover postage back to us.
If we are unable to repair the fault, we may offer either a replacement or a full refund.
In cases where the item is inspected and found not to be faulty—or where damage is determined not to be due to manufacturing defects—you will not be entitled to a refund or replacement. We will then either return the item to you via standard post or dispose of it at your request.
You may return any order within 14 days of delivery. As soon as you receive your items, please inspect them carefully—taking reasonable care to keep both the product and its packaging clean and undamaged. If you discover an error or defect after 14 days, we reserve the right to decline your return. If your product fails or breaks after this 14-day time window then your order may be eligible for a warranty claim, please see our warranty information for more details.
To initiate a return, please contact us via our contact form to obtain a return authorisation and the correct returns address (different from the address on your invoice). This can also be done through your 'recent orders' page on your account if you are registered with Shop. Returns sent without prior authorisation will be discarded.
Returned items must be in the same condition in which you received them—unworn or unused, with tags attached and in their original packaging. You must include either a copy of your invoice or a slip with your order reference number inside the parcel. Please be sure not to obscure your return reference number on the label.
If you refuse delivery or reject the parcel without prior notice, we will inspect the returned package and issue a refund upon receipt. Although there is no restocking fee, we will deduct the cost of the return postage label (£3.35) from your refund.
If the returned item or its packaging shows signs of use, damage, or staining, we may deduct up to 50% of the order value—or refuse the return entirely—depending on its condition. Examples include damaged tags, stained, modified or damaged packaging, or missing components.
For faulty, incorrect, or damaged items, please contact us before sending anything back so we can attempt to resolve the issue directly. If we agree that a return is necessary due to our error, we will provide you with a pre-paid return label.

This includes, but is not limited to, items that have been cut, trimmed or otherwise altered—such as a tarpaulin or pond liner resized to your specifications—or any product showing damage beyond normal inspection handling.
