Room for your connection
Bring your next connection forward from the IBC outlet. This black extension positions a ¾-inch BSP female socket ahead of a matching S60x6 tank or valve outlet.
Fit the larger female collar to a matching tank outlet, then screw a suitable ¾-inch BSP male component into the smaller end. Its longer body is useful when the tank frame or valve leaves little room to attach a tap, hose fitting or pipe component.
One adapter supplied. Tap, hose, tank, valve and loose tank cap shown in the photo are separate.

Check your available space
The dimension photo shows 10cm from end to end. The S60x6 collar overlaps the tank's thread when fitted, so the adapter does not add a full 10cm of clear projection.
Check there is room for your chosen tap, hose tail or pipe fitting, as well as access to the IBC's shut-off handle. Its swivel collar helps with positioning during assembly; choose the position with the tank valve closed.
Match the two standards separately: male S60x6 at the tank and male ¾-inch BSP at the outlet fitting. A BSP thread size is nominal and does not tell you the bore of the hose you might connect.
Build a supported connection
- Start with the tank shut off. Check the outlet thread and mating face are clean and undamaged. Start the S60x6 collar squarely by hand; do not force it if the thread does not match.
- Connect your separate BSP fitting. Follow the sealing requirements of your matching male fitting. Support the adapter body while making the joint, rather than twisting the tank valve.
- Support attached components. Support heavy taps and long pipe runs rather than hanging their weight from the tank outlet. Open the valve gradually and inspect both connections before use.
This adapter has no shut-off function. Keep the tank valve accessible and close it before repositioning or disconnecting your fittings.
Before you connect
Can I push a ¾-inch hose into this adapter?
No. This is a female BSP threaded socket, not a hose tail. Choose a suitable male-threaded hose fitting that matches the ¾-inch BSP socket and the actual bore of your hose.
Will it provide 10cm of extra clearance?
No. The 10cm figure is the adapter's overall length, including its tank collar. Thread engagement overlaps the existing outlet, so check the space available with your valve and the fitting you intend to add.

What is BSP?
What is BSP thread size?
BSP (British Standard Pipe) is a nominal pipe-thread size, not a direct measurement of a fitting’s bore or outside diameter. For example, a ½-inch BSP male thread measures about 21mm across its outer thread crests.
These figures are approximate outside diameters of male BSP threads, to help identify the nominal size. They are not inch-to-millimetre unit conversions:
- 3/8" BSP → 16.66 mm
- 1/2" BSP → 20.95 mm
- 3/4" BSP → 26.44 mm
- 1" BSP → 33.25 mm
- 1.25" BSP → 41.91 mm
- 1.5" BSP → 47.80 mm
- 2" BSP → 59.61 mm
- 3" BSP → 87.88 mm
- 4" BSP → 113.03 mm
Measure across the outside of a male thread, then check its pitch and whether it is parallel or tapered. Diameter alone does not confirm compatibility. Check the product’s stated thread specification before connecting.
