  • Two outlet types from one supply — the main spout has a male garden quick-connect plug, while the lower branch has a ¾-inch BSP male thread. Connect a prepared hose at the spout and use a suitable female-threaded fitting for the second line.
  • ½-inch BSP male inlet with a brass threaded insert — match it to a suitable female supply fitting. The black tap body is nylon, with blue controls. Check the receiving thread, mounting and sealing arrangement before fitting.
  • Separate control for the lower branch — the top wing knob operates the main spout and the smaller blue side control operates the secondary outlet. Both draw from the same source, so available flow depends on the supply and connected equipment.
  • One tap with male quick-connect outlet supplied — hose, female hose connectors, secondary outlet adapters, wall plates and sealing materials are separate. Leave room beneath both outlets and around the controls when planning the installation.

Description

Keep a second connection at the tap

This nylon dual-outlet garden tap gives you a male garden quick-connect plug at the main spout and a ¾-inch BSP male thread on the lower branch.

Fit the ½-inch BSP male inlet to a suitable supply. Use the top blue wing knob for the main spout and the smaller side control for the secondary outlet.

One tap with male quick-connect outlet supplied. Hose, female connectors, branch adapters and mounting fittings are separate.

Main spout: clip on a prepared hose

The curved spout ends in a male garden quick-connect plug. Your hose needs a compatible female garden connector; choose its hose-gripping end to suit the actual hose bore.

The top blue wing knob controls this spout. Leave enough room for the attached connector to release and for the hose to bend without pulling sideways on the tap.

The ½-inch BSP inlet size describes the supply thread, not the diameter of hose you must use. Female hose connectors are sold separately.

Lower branch: add a threaded connection

The second outlet points downwards and has a ¾-inch BSP male thread. Its smaller blue side control operates the branch independently of the main-spout control.

Choose a suitable matching female fitting for the line or accessory you want to attach. This version does not include a second quick-connect plug or a GEKA coupling for that branch.

Both outlets share the same supply. The tap does not boost pressure, and using both lines can change the flow available to each. A manual valve should not be treated as proof of backflow protection.

Check the complete installation

Allow for the supply fitting, two outlet connections and access to both controls.

Match the inlet

The inlet is ½-inch BSP male with a brass threaded insert. BSP is a nominal thread size, not its measured outside diameter. A water butt, tank or wall supply may need a separate adapter or mounting arrangement.

Choose each outlet fitting

Use a compatible female garden connector at the main spout and a suitable ¾-inch BSP female fitting on the lower branch. Match any hose attachment to its actual bore and avoid straining the plastic outlets.

Fit and test

Isolate the water before installation, use the sealing method required by each joint and avoid overtightening. Restore water gradually and check the joints and controls. Drain exposed fittings before freezing weather.

Using the two outlets

Are both outlets quick-connect fittings?

No. The main spout has a male garden quick-connect plug. The lower branch has a ¾-inch BSP male thread and needs a separate matching fitting.

Can I control the lower branch separately?

Yes. The smaller blue side control operates the lower branch. The top blue wing knob controls the main spout. Both outlets share the same water supply.

Does it include an IBC adapter or mounting kit?

No. This product supplies the tap with its main-spout male quick-connect outlet. IBC adapters, wall plates, mounting fittings, hose, female connectors and other outlet adapters are separate.

Does the branch valve prevent backflow?

The branch has a manual control valve; no non-return or backflow-prevention specification is confirmed for this tap. Where backflow protection is required, use the appropriate separately specified installation components.

What is BSP?

What is BSP thread size?
BSP (British Standard Pipe) is a nominal pipe-thread size, not a direct measurement of a fitting’s bore or outside diameter. For example, a ½-inch BSP male thread measures about 21mm across its outer thread crests.

These figures are approximate outside diameters of male BSP threads, to help identify the nominal size. They are not inch-to-millimetre unit conversions:

  • 3/8" BSP → 16.66 mm
  • 1/2" BSP → 20.95 mm
  • 3/4" BSP → 26.44 mm
  • 1" BSP → 33.25 mm
  • 1.25" BSP → 41.91 mm
  • 1.5" BSP → 47.80 mm
  • 2" BSP → 59.61 mm
  • 3" BSP → 87.88 mm
  • 4" BSP → 113.03 mm

Measure across the outside of a male thread, then check its pitch and whether it is parallel or tapered. Diameter alone does not confirm compatibility. Check the product’s stated thread specification before connecting.
