Description
Lever control for everyday IBC watering
Bring water from a matching IBC outlet into your garden hose with this S60x6 lever tap kit. The long handle gives you an accessible way to start, adjust and stop the water at the tank.
A 19mm (¾-inch) barbed hosetail points downwards for a direct connection to compatible hose. The tap body is nickel-plated zinc, paired with a black plastic adapter cap.
One cap and one lever tap with removable hosetail supplied. Tank, hose, hose clip and PTFE sealing tape are separate.
Match the tank outlet first
The cap fits an exposed male S60x6 thread, nominally 60mm with a 6mm coarse pitch. Check your tank or existing valve's outlet, rather than relying on a “2-inch” label alone.
The tap's ¾-inch BSP male inlet screws into the cap's matching female port. Start the threads straight and avoid overtightening the plastic. Suitable thread sealing may be needed; PTFE tape is available separately. Leave space for the lever to move freely around the cage or base.
Fit the hose over the barb
This outlet takes 19mm (¾-inch internal diameter) hose. Push compatible hose over the ridges and secure it with a suitable hose clip. Choose the clip for the outside diameter of the fitted hose, which depends on its wall thickness.
The ridged outlet sits below a removable retaining nut. It is a direct hosetail connection, not a male quick-connect plug. Route and support the hose so it does not pull against the tap or obstruct the lever.
Planning the installation
Can this fit onto my existing IBC valve?
Yes, if that valve presents a matching male S60x6 outlet and there is enough room for the cap, tap and handle movement. Other coarse threads and BSP tank outlets require a different adapter. Check the actual connection before ordering.
What is included, and what do I need separately?
You receive one S60x6 adapter cap and one nickel-plated zinc lever tap with its removable 19mm hosetail. Hose, hose clip and PTFE tape are not included. Check the cap washer and assembled joints, then test the installation for leaks before leaving it in use.

What is BSP?
What is BSP thread size?
BSP (British Standard Pipe) is a nominal pipe-thread size, not a direct measurement of a fitting’s bore or outside diameter. For example, a ½-inch BSP male thread measures about 21mm across its outer thread crests.
These figures are approximate outside diameters of male BSP threads, to help identify the nominal size. They are not inch-to-millimetre unit conversions:
- 3/8" BSP → 16.66 mm
- 1/2" BSP → 20.95 mm
- 3/4" BSP → 26.44 mm
- 1" BSP → 33.25 mm
- 1.25" BSP → 41.91 mm
- 1.5" BSP → 47.80 mm
- 2" BSP → 59.61 mm
- 3" BSP → 87.88 mm
- 4" BSP → 113.03 mm
Measure across the outside of a male thread, then check its pitch and whether it is parallel or tapered. Diameter alone does not confirm compatibility. Check the product’s stated thread specification before connecting.
