Description
One fitting for two garden hose sizes
This lime and grey female hose connector fits ½-inch or ⅝-inch garden hose. Part of the LIME LINE range, it provides a female garden click socket for a compatible male plug on your watering equipment.
The ribbed rear nut secures the hose, while the separate release collar uncouples the accessory. It is the standard connector; turn off the water before disconnecting it.
One connector supplied. Hose, tap adapters, nozzles and spray guns are sold separately. Photos showing hose or multiple views illustrate fitting and appearance.

Look inside the hose attachment
The close-up shows the hose-entry opening and profiled gripping teeth inside the retaining nut. This end holds the hose. It is separate from the female garden socket where your watering tool’s male plug connects.
Loosen the nut to attach the hose, then tighten it by hand once the hose is fully seated. For ordinary accessory changes, leave this nut fitted and use the release collar at the socket instead.
The stated ½-inch and ⅝-inch sizes refer to garden hose. They do not describe a BSP tap thread, so a bare threaded tap will need its own suitable adapter.
Set up the hose connection
Check the hose and mating plug, then assemble with the water off.
Prepare the hose end
Shut off the tap and release pressure. Loosen the ribbed retaining nut and slide it over a clean, sound hose end. Use ½-inch or ⅝-inch garden hose for this version.
Seat and tighten
Push the hose fully onto the gripping section. Bring the retaining nut forward and tighten it by hand. Check the hose is seated properly before attaching the watering equipment.
Connect and test
Insert a compatible male garden plug into the female socket until engaged. Open the tap gradually and inspect the joints. Turn the tap off and release pressure before uncoupling; drain after use and keep grit out of the socket.
Questions about the standard LIME LINE connector
Does this version fit both ½-inch and ⅝-inch hose?
Yes. Both garden hose sizes are specified for this connector. Check the hose size rather than measuring the connector’s outer body or comparing it with a tap thread.
Is this the water-stop version?
No. This is the standard connector. Turn off the tap and release pressure before uncoupling it. A separately specified water-stop connector is a different version.
Can I connect two female fittings directly?
No. Use a separate compatible double-male garden joiner between two female sockets. The connector’s socket needs a matching male garden click plug.
Is a tap adapter or hose included?
No. You receive one lime and grey female connector. Hose, tap adapters, joiners, nozzles and spray guns are sold separately.
