Description
Reach further when watering. Store a shorter hose.
The Bradas Trick Hose set expands as it fills with water and returns towards its shorter length as it drains. Its gathered fabric cover makes a compact coil for putting away between garden jobs.
Choose green or blue, then select the expanded length that suits the route from your tap. Each set includes the hose, two quick couplings, tap fitting and a seven-function spray gun.
One hose in your selected colour and length is supplied. Green example shown.

Which length should you choose?
The selector lists the expanded length, not the length of the empty hose.
| Relaxed hose length | Expanded length |
|---|---|
| 5m | Up to 15m |
| 7.5m | Up to 22m |
| 10m | Up to 30m |
| 15m | Up to 45m |
Measure the route the hose will follow around beds, corners and furniture, rather than only the straight-line distance. Leave some slack instead of pulling the hose tight at full reach.
Water pressure matters: a low-pressure supply may not expand the hose to the stated length. The 4-bar figure is its maximum working pressure, not a minimum needed for expansion.

Check the tap thread, then connect the set
The tap fitting accommodates ½-inch and ¾-inch BSP garden-tap threads using the removable insert. The photograph shows the insert separated from the fitting so you can see how the parts relate.
Check your tap before ordering: a smooth spout or a different thread needs an appropriate separate adapter. The two quick couplings connect the hose to the tap fitting and spray gun.
Seat the fittings by hand, keep the hose clear of sharp edges and open the tap gradually. Allow it to fill before walking it out, and check the joints without dragging or pulling on the connections.

Seven spray patterns on the included gun
Turn the front ring to select jet, cone, mist, centre, full, flat or shower. The trigger controls the spray, while the different head settings give you a choice for watering pots, borders and other garden tasks.
Start with a gentle pattern close to delicate plants. For rinsing a surface, try the setting on a small area first and adjust your distance. Available flow and reach depend on your water supply and the chosen pattern.
The blue set is shown here; the green version has matching green trim. Each selected hose comes with one spray gun.
Drain it before putting it away
Turn off at the tap
Shut off the water supply when you finish. Releasing the spray-gun trigger alone leaves water under pressure in the hose.
Let the water out
Point the gun safely and open its trigger to release remaining water and pressure. Let the hose contract as it empties before disconnecting fittings.
Store loosely
Lift the drained hose into a loose coil without stretching it. Keep it away from frost and sharp objects; avoid leaving it stretched or pressurised between uses.
Questions about the expanding hose set
Why is the hose shorter than the size I selected?
The advertised sizes are expanded lengths when filled with water. Empty lengths are 5m, 7.5m, 10m or 15m for the 15m, 22m, 30m or 45m options respectively. Low water pressure can prevent full expansion.
Does it shrink as soon as I turn the tap off?
It contracts as the remaining water drains. Turn off the tap, open the gun trigger to release water and pressure, and allow it to shorten before disconnecting or storing.
What comes with the selected option?
One Bradas Trick Hose in the selected colour and length, two quick couplings, a tap fitting for ½-inch or ¾-inch BSP taps with removable insert, and a seven-pattern spray gun. A wall hanger is not included.
Is 4 bar the pressure needed to use it?
No. 4 bar is the maximum working pressure. Expansion depends on the pressure available at the hose, and a low-pressure supply may not produce the full stated length. No minimum operating pressure is specified here.
