Description
Clear Monotex
Keep daylight coming through your covering with clear 350gsm polyethylene and a visible reinforcing grid. Monotex offers a different finish from an opaque tarp: you can see through the material, but the mesh and folds remain part of the view.
Choose from 18 nominal cut sizes for a garden or workspace covering job. Check both dimensions and the size-specific eyelet spacing before deciding how the sheet will reach your fixing points.
One tarpaulin in the selected size. Supports and fixing accessories are separate.

Let light through
A clear sheet can suit a covering job where an opaque surface would block the view or daylight.
Expect a visible grid
The reinforcing mesh is part of the sheet, and the material will fold and crease when draped. Choose it for a clear, reinforced covering rather than a polished window-like finish.
Plan the shape underneath
The sheet needs suitable supports and fixing points for your arrangement. Keep it clear of sharp edges, flames and hot equipment. It is not a structural panel or roofing material.
Allow space to secure it
Measure over the top and down the sides in each direction. Add room for overlaps and for flexible ties to reach the anchors, without stretching a short sheet into place.
Find the right sheet
Use both cut dimensions when choosing. Flat area alone does not tell you whether a sheet will reach around the load.

Dimensions and areas describe the sheet before hemming. Finished dimensions may be up to 5% smaller. The listed eyelet spacing applies along the edges; the illustration is not an exact layout.
Keep the load off the edges
Good preparation helps avoid a sharp contact point or a tight fixing concentrating stress on the sheet.
Cushion rough corners
Check the surface underneath and remove sharp debris before laying out the tarpaulin. Protect abrasive edges and avoid dragging the material over them.
Use flexible attachments
Secure all eyelets with appropriate flexible fixings, checking their fit and reach. Distribute tension around the perimeter rather than pulling hard on one corner. Rigid or improper fixings can cause stress damage.
Check during use
Support the sheet so water runs away rather than collecting in pockets. Check the attachments, remove loose dirt and allow the tarpaulin to dry before folding it for storage.

Questions about Monotex
Will it look like clear glass?
No. The clear polyethylene has visible reinforcing mesh and will show folds or creases when draped. It allows light through, but it is not a glass-like transparent panel.
Do all sizes have the same eyelet spacing?
No. All have 12mm aluminium eyelets, but spacing is 0.5m or 1m depending on the size. Open the size guide above to check your chosen option.
Are the listed dimensions the finished size?
They are nominal cut dimensions before the edges are hemmed. Finished dimensions may be up to 5% smaller. Leave additional room for drape, overlap and fixing reach.
Is it suitable for temporary roofing?
No. Do not use this tarpaulin as roofing or temporary roofing.

To initiate a return, please contact us via our contact form to obtain a return authorisation and the correct returns address (different from the address on your invoice). This can also be done through your 'recent orders' page on your account if you are registered with Shop. Returns sent without prior authorisation will be discarded.
Returned items must be in the same condition in which you received them—unworn or unused, with tags attached and in their original packaging. You must include either a copy of your invoice or a slip with your order reference number inside the parcel. Please be sure not to obscure your return reference number on the label.
If you refuse delivery or reject the parcel without prior notice, we will inspect the returned package and issue a refund upon receipt. Although there is no restocking fee, we will deduct the cost of the return postage label (£3.35) from your refund.
If the returned item or its packaging shows signs of use, damage, or staining, we may deduct up to 50% of the order value—or refuse the return entirely—depending on its condition. Examples include damaged tags, stained, modified or damaged packaging, or missing components.
For faulty, incorrect, or damaged items, please contact us before sending anything back so we can attempt to resolve the issue directly. If we agree that a return is necessary due to our error, we will provide you with a pre-paid return label.
Products that have been modified or damaged through customer action are not eligible for return. This includes, but is not limited to, items that have been cut, trimmed or otherwise altered—such as a tarpaulin or pond liner resized to your specifications—or any product showing damage beyond normal inspection handling.
